Abstract

The article presents results of empirical research that intended to analyze the relationship between high school students and the historical content published on YouTube. The specific objectives of the research were: 1) to understand the uses of the internet by high school history students; 2) to verify the presence of YouTube among the platforms used by students; 3) to conduct an exploratory study using the video “What is fascism?” released by the Nostalgia channel. Ninety-one (91) 1st year students from a Federal High School of Technical Professional Education (EPT) took part in the research. The results allow us to observe that the relationship of high school students with the video used was marked more by the form than by the historical content disclosed.
