
This article aims to deliberate on the Teaching of Social History of Labor in the Youth and Adult Education of the working class and the importance of incorporating an approach that values workers’ narratives and perspectives, relating them to the experiences of laborers of the past. We start from the principle of problematizing the students involved in this process, taking into consideration their experiences. The article explores the concept related to the “Worlds of Labor” and how it is central to the Youth and Adult Education modality. An emphasis is given to the social and political function of history teaching in this context, allowing an understanding of power relations, social transformations and the challenges faced by the working class over time.
