This text aims to share the experiences of the Pedagogical Residency Project – History in three public schools in Curitiba, Brazil, from 2022 to 2024. With the objectives of experiencing teaching practices, integrating theories, concepts, and methodologies to solve school environment problems, and engaging preceptor teachers in the academic training of students, the project chose the theme “The presence and impact of the Black population in the physical and social construction of the city of Curitiba,” based on the critical analysis and didactic application of the tourist route Linha Preta Curitiba and the AfroCuritiba Project. Involving participants such as scholarship holders, volunteers, and preceptor teachers, the project operated in three areas: individual training, intervention in the school community, and the development and application of didactic materials.
