Abstract

The article highlights the potential of autobiographical literature as a pedagogical resource for teaching contemporary Palestinian history, using the literary work Tornar-se Palestina (2019) by author Lina Meruane as its object of analysis. We propose biographical literature as a versatile educational resource to engage students,
allowing them to approach the study of history from a humanized perspective rooted in personal narratives and lived experiences. Literature provides a compelling way to explore themes that can be analyzed, questioned, and critically examined alongside historiographical contributions, contributing to the development of a Pedagogy of Palestine.
